ETHAN CARTER '24 RECORDS 1,000 POINTS

Bball 1,000 pt Announcement

On Saturday, January 20, senior boys’ basketball co-captain Ethan Carter recorded a major milestone: 1,000 career points. The moment came in the first half of the game against Edison when Ethan got a rebound and made a quick putback layup to push his scoring record to four-digits. The point guard has been a starter on SPA’s varsity team since 10th grade.

Head Boys’ Basketball Coach Kevin Keto shares that this rare accomplishment is a testament to Ethan’s skill, determination, and perseverance. “When he gets on a roll, he’s one of the very best guards in all of AA basketball,” Keto says. “The best part is that Ethan is not just a scorer; he is a dynamic defender who can change the momentum of a game by forcing the opponent into turnovers. Ethan will continue to be a big scorer in the second half of the season, but as a point guard and Spartan assist leader, Ethan will also play an integral part in getting fellow senior Tysen Hayes to the 1,000 point milestone. Tysen is on pace to join Ethan in the 1,000 club by season’s end. The Spartans are in second place in the IMAC and are currently ranked #1 in Section 4AA. Go Spartans!
