Activity Registration

Welcome to the St. Paul Academy and Summit School Eligibility and Seasonal Activity Registration Pages

There are several steps that need to be completed in order to register and be fully eligible for participation. Please note, ALL student-athletes registering for a Middle School OR Upper School sport are required to upload a physical/medical form. See details on the process below:

  • Physicals/Medical Form Requirements
      • Dated within last 3 years, has a doctor’s signature AND states “eligible to participate”
      • Can accept any format that your doctor/clinic uses OR Click HERE for a copy of the MSHSL version
      • Completed form(s) must be uploaded when prompted on the MS/US activity registration portal
      • FREE High School Sports Physicals — are offered by Twin Cities Orthopedics. Register here: TCO Physicals
  • Activity Registration Accounts
    • You will be prompted to create a family login for your student(s) through our Arbiter Activity Portal
    • Items will include:  Emergency Contact Information, Health Insurance Info, Release of Liability and acceptance of MSHSL Eligibility Statement. Access to that information is restricted to the members of the athletic department, the athletic trainer, and the coaches of specific teams to use in the event of an emergency.  Coaches are only provided access to their team roster or for athletes in their program.
    • Students are allowed to participate with ONE sport each season
    • Your login will allow you to register for all three sports seasons or you can return to your account to add or change your student’s sport choice at a later date

Middle School sports are open to all students in Grades 6-8 regardless of experience. For more information about SPA’s MS offerings, visit the Middle School Athletics section of our website.

The MSHSL allows students in grades 7 and 8 to try out for an Upper School team. A 7th or 8th-grade student who has exceptional athletic skills may go through the request process to be a part of a high school varsity program. The student must possess skills to participate and play competitively at the Varsity level. Any 7th/8th grade student interested in trying out for an Upper School team should contact Taylor Tvedt  for more information on the process.
