Middle school basketball coach Quintin Jackson Sr. (Coach Q) was recently recognized by KARE 11 as this week’s “Thank You Coach!” honoree, a segment sponsored by Shriners Children’s Twin Cities.

Coach Q was nominated for his lasting impact on student-athletes. In the feature, players and parents shared that he is “more than just a coach, he is a mentor and a role model who builds confidence, teamwork, and character on and off the court.”

This recognition adds to an already impressive list of honors. Coach Q was named the Positive Coaching Alliance Regional Coach of the Year in both 2024 and 2025, highlighting his continued commitment to developing young athletes. Read 2024 story here.
