Girls Hockey Section 4A Champs Headed to State
The girls hockey co-op team, hosted by The Blake School with partners Minnehaha Academy and Providence Academy, captured the Section 4A Championship last night and punched their ticket to the state tournament!
Seeded No. 1 in the section and finishing second in the IMAC, the team brought intensity all postseason. With a 2-1 semifinal victory over Minneapolis, the Bears delivered a classic Minnesota hockey showdown in the section title game. With the game tied, they came through in overtime to defeat Academy of Holy Angels and secure the championship.
Next up: the 2026 Girls State Hockey Tournament at Grand Casino Arena from Feb. 18-21, 2026, where the Blake Bears will hunt for their first state championship title since 2017.
